Baked Macaroni and Cheese
A quick lunch for the boys. They love pasta. Especially my no. 2. Rice tak nak, but pasta he'll finish. So baked macaroni with cheese topping.
Oreo Cheese Cupcake
Take a packet of Oreo biscuits, and crush them. Add a quarter cup of melted butter and mix well. Divide them into cupcake cups to form a base for your cheesecake. Put in the oven for about five minutes. Take out and cool. In a different bowl, mix 2 sticks of cream cheese with 3/4 cup of caster sugar. Stir in 2 eggs with 2 tsp vanilla extract. You can add crumbs of oreos to the cheese mix. And then, pour the cheese onto the oreo base. Put in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Tadaaaa, Oreo Cheese Cupcakes.

C for Caterpillar
Thank you to my wonderful sisters, Tiah for buying the cake pan, and Aliyah for sending it home. This cake is for my darling nephew (Aiman) and nieces (Anisah and Sarah) in the United Kingdom. BUT, we will eat it for them lah. Hehe. Sowey darlings.
This is how the cake look without the icing.
And this is the cake with the icing. Used all the colours I have, on this cake. I had fun!

Experimental Butterflies and Tulips
My first tryout at icing cookies with royal icing. I don't have meringue powder, so I've used egg white to make the icing. Got the recipe from kak min's website. And the technique, I found a good tutorial site on the web, called sweetopia.
A quick royal icing recipe from kak min's website:
whisk egg white until foamy, add 1/4 tsp cream of tartar and then add a tbs at a time sifted icing sugar until you get the right consistency. To get the right consistency, use the 10 sec rule. If you cut across your icing, it should go smooth before 10 secs. Refer to sweetopia. Once you have the right consistency, add colours and you are ready to ice your cookies!

Lollipop Cookies
Did a quick job for a new friend, Farah. Her niece wants lollipop cookies and the theme is Alice in Wonderland. I am not a big fan of the Wonderland, because to me it's just Scaryland. So, not familiar with the cartoon character. A sister in Machester was very kind to google for pictures from the cartoon movie, and ( with the help of a friend ) came up with these designs. I hope Farah's daughter is happy!
Ouh, I went to four baking supply shops looking for lollipop sticks. All out of stock. So I use chopsticks, instead!

Hearts for Ariza and Dinos for Akasyah
I made these hearts for my sister in law, Ariza. She's unwell, so these are 'get well soon' hearts. Basic butter cookies with coloured sugar frosting.
And today, I bought this pack of 100 cookie cutters of very well-varied shapes for only RM89.90 at Bangsar Village's House of Presentation. Shapes include stegosaurus, barosaurus and tyranosaurus rex. My son got really excited and insisted on me making dino cookies too, and I did. But because it was already late, I did the icing 'cincai' style. Sudah very sleeeepy!

Daisies for Hanitah
Tomorrow is Hanitah's 32nd birthday. Since we are meeting tonite for a discussion on a Buzz-Ar we're putting together, we plan to have a little birthday surprise for her. And since I am now hooked on sugarcraft, I decide to do a project for tonite's party. Yeay! Because of limited colours and supplies and also time constraint, I have to settle on a simple design. But still happy with the result.
Will have to go visit the supply shop to get more colours this weekend. I still have spare fondant left. Maybe a project with the kids?

My daisies garden
I have finally brave myself to start on a fondant project!!! Just a simple project. I am very pleased with the result. I made the fondant from the recipe Kak Min has on her Baking Project website. Attended one of her classes with Elina. Very hands on, highly recommend it.
I still have some fondant left. Maybe tomorrow, if the boys behave, I'll let them have a go at it. Might want to try making figurines. Maybe start with animal cartoon figure kan? Yeay!
